UK Spring Statement 2019

The Chancellor presented his Spring Statement on 13 March 2019.

The Spring Statement is not normally used to make significant tax announcements but rather provides an update on the health of the economy and progress made since the Autumn Budget.

The government did however announce the future publication of several tax consultations and other documents.  They also published a policy paper on the subject of tackling tax avoidance, evasion and other non-compliance, as well as an updated offshore tax compliance strategy.
