Sarah Shears

Sarah Shears is a Managing Director and Head of VAT at Andersen LLP in the UK. She advises businesses across a wide range of sectors on complex indirect tax matters, with particular experience in VAT planning, transaction structuring and international supply chains.

She works with a broad spectrum of clients including multinational groups, private equity backed businesses, real estate investors and high-growth entrepreneurial companies. Her work includes advising on acquisitions and disposals, real estate transactions, cross-border trade and VAT efficient supply chain structuring, as well as assisting clients with HMRC enquiries and dispute resolution.

As Head of VAT, Sarah Shears leads the firm’s indirect tax practice in the UK and works closely with colleagues across corporate tax, international tax and transactions teams to deliver integrated tax advice to clients.
